Gently wipe around the area of skin being used with a disinfectant swab. Then after checking you have the correct dosage set then use the pen to inject directly into a fleshy part of the thigh, abdomen or upper arm. You cannot do this wrong and will barely feel anything, but please double check the dosage and wipe the skin before and after use.

The medi-slim pen is suitable for everyone over the age of 18, but under certain circumstances additional advice may be required. While we have a qualified and experienced nurse that will be involved with each client please make us aware if any of the follow apply:

• Currently or previously suffered with pancreatitis
• If you are diabetic type 1 or been treated for diabetes with any GLP-1 receptor agonists or Victoza
• Currently or previously had thyroid tumours
• Pregnant or breastfeeding

There are potential side effects with most medicines, but as it replicates a naturally produced peptide it is tolerated well if used as instructed. The most common side effects are headaches and nausea when treatment begins, but typically this will decrease.
